Grandparent's! Leave those kids alone! Children from broken homes

Updated: Jul 3, 2024

Thirty seven percent, that's a huge number when considering the whole U.S. Thirty seven percent of today's young parents have lost their children to overbearing grandparents. Everyone knows somebody who deals with this dreadful situation. This author would bet his typing fingers on it... So many grand parents believe they can do better than the actual parents. Sometimes they may can, but in 100% of the cases this author has seen, that is not the case. It always seems to turn out worse than could have been. These situations turn out with unneeded issues for the child throughout their lives. The constant feeling of abandonment these children most-likely are feeling, and in most cases, if not every case, these children are under so much of the wrong impression. They have parents that love them more than anything, yet young parents are often coaxed and eventually totally fooled into signing their rights away, believing all the shallow promises that the grandparents often make. Which in the beginning may be true. The grandparents actually just want to help. But as more time goes on, and especially if the parents become on bad terms with they're kids. Which in most cases does happen. Just for the fact of "Hey Mom and Dad, you took my kid. My life is better now, can I please have my child back?" By this time, the grandparents have their claws in so deep and would rather die than to lose control and have to return the child to their rightful parents. The grandparents before too long are referring to their grandchildren as their own actual children. This easily falls under the category of children from broken-homes. As if their grandchildren don't actually have real parents that love them very much. And for a young couple, most cannot afford to hire lawyers and all of the stuff that comes along with trying to reclaim their child. As we all know, life is very hard, but is made extremely, much much harder when two parents lose someone that they would have given they're life for. All because of selfishness by grandparents. This author is a product of such circumstance on both sides. Not being raised by his original parent's as well as being fooled as a young man into losing his own first born. In conclusion... Grandparents! Leave those kids alone!
