Autism etiquette

Autism is a very serious topic that millions of people deal with on a daily basis. So many things stem from Autism, such as Anxiety, A.D.D., A.D.H.D., Etc... Some parents are worse off than others. A lot of parents pray that the following day will not be as bad as that one. It's impossible for an NT parent to understand what an Autism parent deals with on a daily basis. Please don't make the mistake of judging someone else's child, or their parenting; in other words, don't say what you would do if your child were acting that way. Use proper etiquette when communicating with an Aspie parent. Don't overly discuss how well your NT child is doing in school. Because the Aspie parent is probably not having the same luck. Don't ever tell a parent of an Aspie, how you would discipline your kid; if they were acting like theirs was. Also, be careful about; even offering suggestions on what would help, because that itself is somewhat insulting; for most good Aspie parents, have already thought of, and tried your suggestion. And the Aspie parent doesn't want to be rude and say that there is nothing the NT parent could say that would help. They respond with a quick: "Yeah, alright; I'll try that." and then look down to the floor. If you're in a situation like this, just let it go. The question is, have you ever been guilty of any of these things?
